Nursing Department

RCA
As a Resident Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents. You will assist with daily living activities, provide companionship, and ensure that our residents receive the highest level of care and respect. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others.
We are currently looking for PT RCAs to work in both our traditional and memory care communities:
Some Shifts available:
- 6:30am-1pm.
- 4-10pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
- Provide compassionate and respectful care to residents while maintaining their dignity and independence.
- Monitor and document residents’ health and well-being, reporting any changes to the nursing staff.
- Help maintain a clean and safe living environment for residents.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other team members.
- Follow all community policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of residents.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a caregiving or healthcare role preferred.
- Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) certification is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and caring demeanor.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to pass a background check

Receptionist
Are you passionate about providing exceptional service and working in a welcoming environment that respects the privacy, dignity, and individuality of our elderly residents? The Converse Home in downtown Burlington is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Receptionist to join our team, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining a warm and supportive atmosphere for our residents, visitors, and staff. This is a 32 hour a week position ( 8am-3pm Monday thru Friday) with a full benefits package.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Answer Phones & Direct Calls: Manage incoming calls and redirect them to the appropriate departments efficiently.
- Customer Service: Greet and assist visitors, maintain a welcoming presence in the lobby, and engage politely with residents.
- Document Preparation: Assist various departments with preparing correspondence, forms, and photocopying as needed.
- List & Log Management: Maintain and update resident lists, emergency phone trees, and other important records. Distribute them to relevant departments.
- Resident Assistance: Provide residents with information about appointments, newspapers, mail, etc., and redirect them to the appropriate staff when necessary.
- Calendar & Schedule Maintenance: Assist in Managing the appointment calendar and transportation schedule using Outlook.
- Resident Petty Cash Management: Assist the Business Office Director in maintaining resident petty cash accounts.
- Safety & Security: Monitor residents at risk for wandering, track walker locations using air tags, and ensure the safe operation of the front door.
- Chart Assembly: Prepare health charts and room labels for new residents or as requested.
- Mail & Supply Management: Process incoming mail and monitor office supply inventory, making purchases on a weekly schedule or as needed.
- Common Room Scheduling: Manage the appointment book for the use of common rooms for meetings and activities.
- Lobby Cleanliness: Ensure the lobby and foyer are clean and welcoming.
- Emergency Response: Notify the appropriate department or nurse in the event of a resident emergency or distress.
- Doctor’s Orders: Fax Doctor’s orders for signatures and ensure they are returned within 15 days.
- Qualifications:
- Passion for Elder Care: A desire to work with the elderly, respecting their privacy, dignity, choice, independence, and individuality.
- Team Player: Ability to work well with others and function effectively as part of a team.
- Customer Service Excellence: Cheerful demeanor and excellent customer service skills.
- Experience Preferred: Previous experience working with elders or individuals with memory loss is preferred.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in computer programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet search engines. Excellent overall computer skills.
- Problem Solving: Ability to follow tasks to completion, including solving problems along the way.
- Dependability: Reliable and consistent in performing duties.
- Physical Requirements: Able to regularly lift up to 20 pounds and sit for long periods.
- Education and Experience:
- Relevant experience in a similar role is preferred but not required. Training will be provided for the right candidate.
